This tall deciduous tree hails from the Eastern USA and boasts a lush, dense crown adorned with graceful, slender branches. Its deeply lobed leaves are known to transform into stunning shades of red during autumn. It thrives in damp and marshy areas, which is reflected in its Latin species name 'palustris', meaning 'of the marsh'. The tree's acorns take two years to fully mature and are more than half covered by their characteristic cups.
